• Camp Flog Gnaw @ Exposition Park Los Angeles November 12 – 13 2016

Second annual visit with The Character to work on our music projects and catch Tyler the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw. This year trip to LA marks 3rd annual SO { Standing Ovation} “bro-down”. We recorded 4 new tracks that we’re excited to share with you.

This year Camp was two days! Among some of the highlights was seeing Chance the Rapper, Rae Sremmurd, Action Bronson, Joey Badass, Toro Y Moi, Anderson Paak, Death Grips, Left Brain, School Boy Q, A$AP Rocky, and of course the man himself Tyler the Creator.  The second night of CFG included a performance by Ear Wolf that was memorable. Tyler encouraged this years camp goes to put their phones down. Meet new people and discover a new band. So, I did just that. One of the newer groups I had no clue about was Gallant. They were very good musicians.

One of the highlights of this trip was meeting my Shanemundi family.  There’s a radio show what has brought together a great community of kids that all are very unique and artistic. I’ve was lucky to meet some of the kids that I’ve been communicating with in person. Also, meeting the man himself, Shane Powers.

I wanted to elaborate more, but my procrastination has allowed some of the details to get a little blurry. I’ll always have the memories though.  Remember, find your wings!

  • Toro Y Moi @ 930 Club Washington DC April 29 2015

Every time I see Toro Y Moi they get better.  Chaz Bundick and his band put on one of the best performances to date. The band was tight and it seems as if they’ve added a new member.  A full time keyboard player which allowed Chaz to switch from keys to guitar from song to song.

Toro Y Moi stopped through town touring their new album “What For”.  Personal highlights include the classics “Low Shoulder”, “Beneath the Pines”, new tracks “What You Want” and “Buffalo” and I think he even snuck in a Les Sins track that just set the place off.

I was in my normal spot tucked between the soundboard and merchandise.  Unfortunately, I couldn’t get any photos personally.  Maybe I was too busy enjoying the show?
